The Urgent Need and Our Solution
In rural Haiti, poverty forces many parents to make heartbreaking decisions. Unable to provide enough food, education, or medical care, some feel their only hope is to send their children away, believing they will have a better life elsewhere.
At FARM Haiti, we believe children belong with their families. We help meet children’s immediate needs through nutritious meals, education, and medical care. At the same time, we help parents become more self-sufficient, giving families the opportunity to stay together and build a better future.
Breaking the Cycle
FARM Haiti is breaking the cycle of poverty by investing in farmers, families, and the next generation.
Through sustainable agriculture, Farming God’s Way, youth gardens, and discipleship, we’re helping families become more self-sufficient and raising up leaders who will strengthen their communities.
Lives Are Being Transformed
- 1,700 farmers trained
- 120,000 seedlings planted
- 210 discipleship meetings last year
- 25 youth currently being discipled and developed as leaders

I Can Still See Him Sitting There

I’ve lived in Haiti for more than 13 years and witnessed many difficult situations, but there is one day I will never forget.
Billy was one of our young gardeners at FARM Haiti. For over a year, he faithfully cared for his little garden. Even after finishing his own work, he would often stay to help our staff water, weed, and transplant.
But one day, something was different.
Billy came to his garden as usual, but instead of joining me, he sat about 20 feet away. He was quiet, staring down at a little red rag he held in his hands.
I asked him twice what was wrong. Both times, he said, “Nothing.”
When I finished working and looked up, he was gone.
Later that day, I learned that his mother was planning to send him to an orphanage. Not because she didn’t love him, but because she could no longer afford to care for him.
I cried for two days.
I brought my heartbreak before the Lord and asked, “What can we do?”
That question changed the direction of FARM Haiti.
I knew we needed to do more than teach children how to grow food. We needed to help families stay together.
That is how Grenn Jodi a, Lidè Demen — Seeds Today, Leaders Tomorrow began taking shape.
Today, we’re working to provide children with nutritious meals, education, medical care, discipleship, and opportunities to develop practical skills.
Our hope is simple: Give children the support they need while helping families remain together.

Through Farming God’s Way, sustainable agriculture, reforestation, discipleship, and leadership development, FARM Haiti equips farmers and youth to grow food, care for the land, strengthen their families, and become leaders in their communities.
