Mentoring

F.A.R.M. Haiti has a goal to see people restored to being what God has created them to be: people who understand that they are created in the image of God, with the gifts, abilities and capacity to make decisions and to effect change in the world around them.  People who steward their lives, communities, resources and relationships in order to bring glory to God. This happens through relationship building.

Leadership Training

Rod Harris is teaching leadership and life skills classes. He provides simple technics to find out your natural abilities and how to discover others natural abilities so everyone can work better together. He brings out the talents
that people have within and helps them identify how to use them to maximize the purpose in life. In a few meetings, Rod was able to help the F.A.R.M. Haiti team understand each other better, to help us communicate better, help us
resolve differences and work together much more effectively. The attendees of his classes have seen their lives change as they better understand themselves and others. This is the beginning to effect change in a nation.

Young Women’s Group

Mary hosts a teenage girl group where she works to build up and encourage them. We do exercises in how to see themselves as Christ sees them. We teach them the value of their bodies. We teach them about sexuality and their bodies using
the Days for Girls kits. (Pictured: Rod getting a facial during a pamper session with the young ladies group)

Youth Group

Mary hosts a weekly meeting with kids in her neighborhood. It is important to help the next generation step into the calling the Lord has placed on their lives. She teaches morals, values, and Christian principles, encourages them
to realize who they are in Christ, and equips them to walk in the fullness the Lord has for them. She caps the limit to 50 and turns away kids each week. Along with the biblical lessons, they sing songs, do crafts, and have a snack.
When funds allow, a heaping full plate of beans and rice are served to the children.  It has been Mary’s joy to see the children grow. She is amazed at their memorization skills and how even the youngest ones can pray and
recite Bible verses. Sharing the love of Jesus with the next generation of world changers has always been a passion of Mary’s.
